Dr. Anna SpencerI am very passionate about delivering the best possible dental care to my patients with lots of kindness, patience, and understanding. My goal is to treat every patient like I would want to be treated myself when I am a patient in the chair. I absolutely love building relationships with my patients, and getting to know not only them but their families as well. It is such a privilege to take care of our little patients and see them grow up so big at every check-up appointment. I love being a part of my patients’ lives and helping them achieve healthy and beautiful smiles.
I am originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where I received my Bachelor of Science and certificate in dental hygiene. I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.
Having received a high-quality education, I like to focus my energy on providing a gentle approach to treatment so my patients feel more relaxed and excited about receiving dental care. I love helping patients improve and maintain their dental health, and I know that their self-esteem and overall physical health will greatly benefit from the care I provide.
I am currently involved with education courses in obstructive sleep apnea and how it affects our overall health. I want to help my patients with their overall full-body health and do whatever I can to help them live longer and healthier lives. Staying on top of current dental and medical advances is so imporant in order for me to provide my patients with the latest treatment options that are less invasive, longer lasting, and therapeutic to their overall well-being.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Pierce County Dental Association, and part of a local study group called Interdisciplinary Study Group Northwest in Puyallup. Over the years, I have been honored to receive recognition in my field by receiving the Quintessence Award for Academic Achievement in 2006, and a certificate of recognition for clinical excellence in implant restorations from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, Dr. Dan Spencer, and our two cocker spaniels, Daisy and Porter. I also like traveling, scuba diving, taking my dogs hiking, watching movies, and spending time with my family and friends. I love trying new foods and ethnic cuisine from around the world—if you know of anywhere good, let me know!
