Dr. Robert White
Dr. White is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Dentistry where he graduated #3 in his class and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. White graduated with honors from one of the top dental programs in the country and received national recognition as a four year recipient of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Scholastic Achievement Award, being honorarily inducted into the prestigious honor society upon graduation. Dr. White was recognized as one of the top three graduating dentists of his class and received numerous awards in different areas of clinical dentistry. Some of his recognitions include: the Outstanding Achievement in Operative Dentistry Award, the Excellence in Removable Prosthodontics Award, the Psi Omega Scholarship, the Excellence is Periodontics Award, the Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry Award, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award, and the American Association of Endodontists Award.
Before dental school, Dr. White attended Western Washington University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Anthropology and Biology, and minored in Chemistry. While at Western, Dr. White was a four year letter winner in both varsity football and track and field, receiving numerous awards and recognitions in both sports and scholastics. Some of the recognitions include: Nominee for Outstanding Graduating Senior, Western's Male Scholar Athlete of the Year (2 years in a row), the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Male Scholar Athlete of the Year Award, Captain of the Western Washington Viking Football Team, four time All Conference Defensive Team, and named to the All America Football Team his senior year.
Dr. White is a Washington state native, born and raised in Woodinville. He married his college sweetheart, Kelsey, in 2005. Dr. White teaches Sunday School to elementary grade children through his church and is an active volunteer with Medical Teams International, which helps both locally and internationally to bring medical and dental care to the underserved.
Before joining Light Dental Studios at the new University Place office, Dr. White worked as an associate in Woodinville. He is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Pierce County Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentists. Dr. White is currently pursuing and studying for his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
