What are the esthetics of a beautiful smile?
A beautiful smile can be different for every patient. It can range from having healthy looking gum tissue, white teeth, straight teeth, and all the way to the natural appearance of a smile with small spaces and imperfections in color. We will work closely with you to determine what can be done to give you a smile that makes you feel naturally beautiful.
Bleaching (Whitening):
Bleaching is a simple way to brighten your smile for a small investment and on a short time scale. It works well to break up stains on the surfaces of teeth, whether it be from food, smoking, dark-colored beverages, or other things. Teeth that are dark internally from trauma, tetracycline staining, or fluorosis tend to not respond as well to bleaching. We do offer free membership into our White For Life program when you refer a new patient (non-nuclear family member), inquire at your local office.
Veneers:
Veneers are an easy and quick method to not only lighten your smile, but also correct minor rotations or mis-alignment of teeth. There are two different options for veneer restorations. The first option is a composite resin veneer that is placed and bonded directly to the tooth surface in one single appointment. It provides immediate results at a slightly lower cost, but they do tend to stain and wear more rapidly than the much longer lasting second option, porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers require minor shaping of the existing teeth to remove staining and provide enough room so that there is adequate thickness to the porcelain for strength. An impression is made and you will wear plastic temporary veneers for two to three weeks while our carefully selected dental lab hand creates your custom porcelain veneers. The porcelain gives a very natural and beautiful appearance that makes it look like you never had any dental work done. The harder nature of the porcelain versus composite resin means they are longer lasting and much more resistant to stain. Inquire at your local office for a FREE consultation.
Orthodontics/Braces and straight teeth:
Sometimes patients have beautiful teeth that are just a little out of alignment. They can easily be straightened without any grinding or need for any restorations to restore your smile to a youthful appearance. Dentures:
For patients who have missing or severely damaged teeth, we can easily restore your smile to a shade and alignment that you help to create. If you want your teeth to look exactly how they did when you were 23, even with that slightly crooked front tooth you've always had...we can do it.
