Dr. Maya Denslow
"Dr. Maya didn’t always know she wanted to be a dentist. She shadowed many healthcare occupations and worked as an ER scribe before deciding to shadow her local dentist in Michigan. Immediately, her childhood love for dental visits became a spark of passion, and Dr. Maya knew dentistry was the career for her.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree in neuroscience at Michigan State University—go green!—Dr. Maya moved to Portland to attend dental school at Oregon Health & Science University. There, she served as the Communications Chair of the American Student Dental Association, creating content and running all Oregon ASDA social media accounts, as well as the website and blog. She was also the Junior Page Officer/Fundraising Chair for her dental fraternity, Delta Sigma Delta, in which she planned and hosted networking events and designed and sold apparel. She graduated with clinical honors in the top 10% of her class and moved to Washington with her fiancé.

Dr. Maya loves dentistry because it allows her to help people every day with an extremely important part of their healthcare, and she considers her work as artistic as it is scientific. She believes in practicing conservative dentistry while cultivating beautiful smiles and helping people find their confidence.

In her spare time, Dr. Maya enjoys the outdoors, skiing, hot yoga, making sourdough, and working on her recent sewing journey. She loves being involved with community service outreach. Her favorite volunteer experiences have been providing free dental care with Medical Teams International, teaching youth at Give Kids A Smile Day, and doing Earth Day cleanup.

Dr. Maya is an active member of ADA and WSDA, and she regularly continues her education with Spear online dental courses."
