Dr. Gioia Sha

"Dr. Gioia Sha was born in Italy and raised in China. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Wisconsin Madison, and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Pittsburgh. Serving as community service chair of various clubs throughout college and dental school, Dr. Sha has a passion for helping others. She provided free dental care at Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh, Mission of Mercy Dental clinic, and Give Kids A Smile program. She also travelled with Remote Area Medical clinic to rural Pennsylvania and delivered free dental service to those in need.  On top of being active in volunteer activities, she served as pre-dental mentor at American Student Dental Association and Women in Dentistry Club. While at Pitt Dental, Dr. Sha received Schuler Development Scholarship and admitted to Advanced General Dentistry Clinic to recognize for her clinical performance.

Dr. Sha is fluent in Mandarin and English. She is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all her patients. Her goal is to improve her patient’s overall oral health and cultivate long lasting relationship with her patients. She is dedicated to continuously enhancing her skills to better serve her patients.

Outside of Dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, travelling and exploring nature. ​
